Iran to supply Afghanistan with Oil

Tehran to supply Kabul with oil products. Iranian Oil Minister Massoud Mirkazemi stated that according to an agreement between the two neighboring states it is planned that in 2011 two million liters of oil products will be exported to that country. In a meeting with the two visiting Afghan ministers the oil official said that the two sides had decided that a portion of the Afghans diesel oil and gasoline demands will be supplied by Iran. In addition to the delivery point, the starting date of fuel exports from Iran to Afghanistan was postponed to a later time after further study of the subject. —–Financial guidelines. Iranian economy minister said Tehran and Kabul had sketched out a financial cooperation guideline. The Mehr News Agency reported Shamseddin Hosseini met Afghan finance minister Hazrat Omar Zakhilvar and economy minister Abd-ol-hadi Arghandival. Hosseini said soon new measures in customs affairs will be taken to boost bilateral trade and balance the level of transactions, adding that the two sides are ready to up heave investments in various areas. He pointed out that trade between the two countries reached over $1 billion last year, and stated Iran will cooperate in expanding infrastructure in Afghanistan by building roads, railways and power plants.
