Report: Enbridge still faces court fight over oil spill. Enbridge Energy Partners LP is still in court related to its responsibility for the 2010 oil spill from its leaking 6B pipeline in Michigan that discharged about a million gallons of crude, according to a news report. The Michigan Messenger website report from Jan. 31 says that Houston-based Enbridge (NYSE: EEP) is claiming in court papers that since the company followed all the legal rules and mandates, that the accident was not foreseeable and therefore not its fault. Houston-based Enbridge has retained the law services of Dickinson Wright to represent the company in the matter. Several local families have sued the company, seeking damages related to health issues allegedly related to the effects of the spill.
